Current Research

We explore perovskite structured oxides and halides as well as their heterojunctions with the aim of producing high-performance photodetector and PV devices.
Growth of oxide heterostructures with unit cell control enables the formation of 2D electron system at the interface. New physics of exchange coupling and spin orbit interaction emerge​ as a result of symmetry breaking.​​​​​​
Transition metal oxides offer a wide range of physical properties.
We focus on advancing the vapor-liquid-solid mechanism for controlled oxide nanowire growth.​
We explore the operating mechanisms in resistive switching memory devices.​​
We use field effect devices to navigate the carrier dependent phase diagram of emerging materials.​
